What's Your Daily Q?

When It Slaps You in the Face

What I learned about God’s timing, calling, and the moment you’re pushed to start your business.

When To Start Your Business...

You think you’re going to plan it all out.

When I was preparing to exit my last role, I had a 24-month plan. I was going to be thoughtful. Strategic. Steady.

Then overnight it turned into nine months.
Then four.
Then… I was out.

Not because I was fully ready.
But because I knew I had to.

My faith in Jesus is core to how I live and lead. And this experience, specifically the transition into working full time for The Daily Q, was one of the clearest examples I’ve ever felt of God moving ahead of me.

Not in a loud, showy way.
But in a way that left no room for doubt.

He had already opened the door.
My only job was to walk through it even if I still had questions.

“You’ll Know It’s Time Because It Slaps You in the Face”

What's The Daily Q?

That line came from a friend of mine. He owns a pest control company, and we were talking about entrepreneurship. About the moment you know it’s time to go all in.

And that was the exact phrase he used:

“It slaps you in the face.”

Not in a negative way. But in a wake-you-up kind of way.

The kind of moment you don’t forget.

The kind where everything in your spirit says, “It’s time.”

It Won’t Always Feel Like a Green Light

Sometimes, leaving what you know doesn’t feel like clarity; it feels like chaos.

It feels too fast. Too uncertain. Too costly.

But what if that discomfort is divine?

What if the things that feel like closed doors…

Are actually signs that your next chapter is beginning?

For the Aspiring Entrepreneur Reading This

What's The Daily Q Offer

If you're in the “almost but not yet” phase, still building while working another job, still saving, still praying, still doubting; I see you. And I want you to know this:

The moment might not look like what you expected.
But when it comes, you’ll know.

It may not be perfectly timed, but it will be perfectly placed.
And you’ll either obey that calling…
Or spend the rest of the year wondering if you missed it.

How I Started:

I didn’t leap because I was fearless.
I leapt because I trusted the One who was calling me forward.

If that’s where you are — wrestling, wondering, waiting —
Then I hope this post is your confirmation.

You’re closer than you think.
And if it just slapped you in the face?

Then it’s probably time.
